I Remember The Days Of Old; I Ponder All Your Deeds; The Works Of Your Hands I Recall, (Psalm 143:5).

You Can Learn From The Past.  (Remember Who You Are~!)  Taken From, “The Lion King”.

Sometimes, Pastors Would Have Us Believe That We Survive From Guest Speaker To Guest Speaker.  However, Only By Remembering What Yahweh Did In The Past Can We Go On From Faith To Faith Or From Glory To Glory, (Romans 1:17, 2 Corinthians 3:18).

By Remembering What Yahweh Has Done In The Past, And Using These Recollections We Can Go Forward To New Exploits, (Daniel 11:32).  These Accounts That We Lock Into Our Heart Will Strengthen And Give Us New Courage.  Yahweh Says, “Remember The Former Things Of Old, For I Am God, And There Is No Other; I Am God, And There Is None Like Me”, (Isaiah 46:9 ~ NKJV).  And Yahweh Was The One Who First Augmented This Pattern Back When He Told Joshua To Set Up 12 Stones For A Remembrance That This May Be A Sign To You When Your Children Ask, ”What Do These Stones Mean?” (See Joshua 4:1-9 Below).

I Imagine That Every Time You Told Your Kids Or GrandChildren About These Stones, You Might unfold The Whole Account As Told In Joshua 3:5-17), (Below) And This Would Re-Kindle The Fire In Your Own Heart.  I Wonder If David Had Heard This Story Before He Battled Goliath.  I Bet He Did Because Of Several Sentences He Said Before The Encounter.  Sentences Like, “You Come To Me With A Sword, With A Spear, And With A Javelin. But I Come To You In The “Name Of Yahweh” Of Hosts, The God Of The Armies Of Israel, Whom You Have Defied”. ( Psalm 118:26), Which King David Wrote By The Inspiration Of The Holy Ghost).

“Your Servant Has Killed Both Lion And Bear; And This UnCircumcised Philistine Will Be Like One Of Them, Seeing He Has Defied The Armies Of The Living God”.  Moreover David Said, “Yahweh, Who Delivered Me From The Paw Of The Lion And From The Paw Of The Bear, He WILL Deliver Me From The Hand Of This Philistine”.  And Saul Said To David, “Go, And Yahweh Be With You~!”, (1 Samuel 17:36-37).  This Is The Same Thing That The Three Hebrew Boys Proclaimed When They Were About To Be Tossed Into The Fiery Furnace~!  Our God Whom We Serve Is Able To Deliver Us From The Burning Fiery Furnace, And He Will Deliver Us From Your Hand, O King”, (Daniel 3:17).

The Sign Of The Covenant

In 1 Samuel 17:26, 36), David Makes A Reference About Not Being Circumcised.  Like The Song That Says, “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” So I Am Asking Myself, “What’s Circumcision Got To Do With Price Of Rice In China?”  Had David Resorted To Name-Calling?  Was David Calling Goliath, A Heathen, A Barbarian, An Unkempt Person?  What Relevance Did Being UnCircumcised Have To Do With The Fact That The Armies Of Yahweh Had Been Defied?  (DisHonored, Disgraced, Desecrated).

No, David Knew That Circumcision Was A Sign Of The Covenant, And He Realized The Giant Was Not In Covenant With Yahweh, And That David Was In Covenant.  David Was Aware That Abraham Was His Forefather, And That David Was One Of Abraham’s Descendants, And Therefore In Covenant With Yahweh, And That Meant Yahweh Would Fight For Him And He Even Said THE BATTLE IS YAHWEH’s.

1 Samuel 17:45
And All This Assembly Shall Know That Yahweh Saves Not With Sword And Spear: For The Battle Is Yahweh’s, And He Will Give You Into Our Hands,

2 Chronicles 20:15
And He Said, “Listen, All Judah, And You Inhabitants Of Jerusalem, And You King Jehoshaphat. Yahweh Says To You, ‘Don’t Be Afraid, Neither Be Dismayed By Reason Of This Great Multitude; For The Battle Is Not Yours, But Yahweh’s.

The Battle Is Yahweh’s, (2 Chronicles 32:7-8), {But He Shares The Victory With Us~!}  (1 Samuel 17:47; 2 Chronicles 20:15; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Corinthians 2:14); And Yahweh Will Fight For Us ~ Deuteronomy 1:30; 3:22; 20:4; Joshua 10:42; 23:3, 10; 2 Chronicles 20:29; 32:8; Psalm 35:1; Zechariah 14:3; Revelation 19:11-21).

 ² All The Ways Of A Person Are Clean In Their Own Eyes; But Yahweh Weighs The Motives.
 ⁷ When A Person’s Ways Please Yahweh, They Make Even Their Enemies To Be At Peace With Them.
 ¹⁷ The Highway Of The Upright Is To Depart From Evil.  He Who Keeps His Way Preserves His Soul.
 ²⁵ There Is A Way Which Seems Right To A Person, But In The End It Leads To Death.

1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Corinthians 2:14 ~ {An Exchange; He Fights The Battle, But We Get The Victory}.

“This [Is] My Covenant Which You Shall Keep, Between Me And You And Your Descendants After You: Every Male Child Among You Shall Be Circumcised; And You Shall Be Circumcised In The Flesh Of Your Foreskins, And It Shall Be A Sign Of The Covenant Between Me And You. (Genesis 17:10-11).

In Fact, From David’s Perspective, Knowing What A Covenant Was ALL About, He Knew That Yahweh Was Backing Him Up Entirely, (Psalm 35:1-4).  David Knew Who He Was~!  He Knew His Identity And That He Was In A Covenant With Yahweh.  The Giant Had Defied The Armies Of Yahweh.  David’s Courage Came From Knowing Who He Was~!  David Knew That He Was A Descendant Of Abraham, And He Knew What Yahweh Had Already Done For Abraham.  Psalm 105:12 Clearly States That David Knew Yahweh Had Worked With Few In Number.

Covenant With Yahweh Means, “The Battle Is His”~!

And To Further Validate My Point, Take A Close Look At What David’s Companion And Friend Jonathan Did In 1 Samuel 14:6-16.  David Probably Had Shared His Intimate Thoughts With, Jonathan, (1 Samuel 18:1, 3-4).  David Also Had Went So Far As To Make A Covenant With Jonathan, Which Further Shows That David Knew What A Covenant Was ALL About.

In 1 Samuel 14:6-16), You Will Find A Remarkable Story Of Courage And Bravery, Echoing Almost Word For Word What David Said, Again Referencing The UnCircumcised And Making Mention Of The God Of A Few Good Men. ~ And Jonathan Said To His Young Armor-Bearer, Come, And Let Us Go Over To The Garrison Of These UnCircumcised; It May Be That Yahweh Will Work For Us. For There Is Nothing To Prevent Yahweh From Saving By Many Or By Few, 1 Samuel 14:6.

David And Jonathan Were Saying What Our Policemen Say When They Wear A Badge.  ”We May Be Small In Number, But You Harm One Of Us Then You Will Have All Of Our Tribe Or Gang Coming After You, But More Than That, You’ll Have Our Father Coming After You”. Indian Blood-Brothers Have This Same Viewpoint, And So Do Gangs.  Yahweh Is The Ultimate Body Guard.  Nobody Is Going To Mess With Someone When They Know You’re Being Protected And That There Will Be Retaliation For Any Harm Done To You Or Your Family.

I Heard A Pastor Preach That We Each Need To Keep Journals Of Things Prayed For And The Results. I Honestly Didn’t Think I Needed To Keep Track And When I Get To Heaven I’ll Find Out Then.  I Was Wrong… David Encouraged Himself In Yahweh… Probably, Recalling Facing The Giant And How He Approached The Giant Not With A Sword And A Shield But In The Name Of Yahweh, (1 Samuel 17:36-37;45-47;51-53)~!

Sometimes, You Might Feel Like You’ve Not Made A Difference, And Your Life Is Not Worth Much… But, If You Keep A Journal Of Your Prayers And How And When They Were Answered… Then Reading About Past Things Will Inspire You.

For Example, I Was Down Earlier This Week.  But, Then I Recalled The Time That I Knew Of A Dentist And His Wife.  They Looked Like A Ken Doll And A Barbie Doll. They Worked Together And At One Visit, They Would Often Call Me Aside Into Another Room And Ask Me To Pray For People Or Situations, And One Time They Called Me Aside To Pray For Their Son And Son’s Wife To Have Children… After 4 Or 5 Years Of Trying To Have A Child With No Success.  Having Lost Two Children Myself And Knowing What It Is Like To Be Childless, I Had The Right Amount Of Compassion … And Since Faith Works By Love, I Prayed, (Mark 11:23-24). Then They Got Pregnant With Twin Girls Within A Month, And Had A Birth Without Problems, And Now They Are Young Girls. Amen.  Yeah Yahweh~!

Then The Same Son Couldn’t Get Accepted In Dental School As The Dental School Was Full. The Dentist And His Wife Attended A Church Of Christ… But Just Like Everybody Else When Your Back Is Against The Wall They’ll Accept Prayers From The Word Of Faith Folks.  Again I Prayed According To Mark 11:23-24.  So The Son Miraculously Got Accepted Into Dental School, As Someone Else Couldn’t Go And He Took Their Place.  Over The Years The Son Finished Dental School And Now Works With His Father… And Mother.

Recalling How The Son Getting Accepted In Dental School, Then Getting To Work With Mom & Dad, And Then Having Twin Girl Grandchildren… Wow~!  My Prayers Did That~!  I Encouraged Myself And The Mully-Grubs Immediately Left Me~!  So, I Challenge You Also To Start Now To Get A Blank Book, And Write Down The Date Of When You Prayed And When It Was Answered.

Would It Not Be Unlike David’s Method Of Success To Now Recall The Lion, The Bear, And Now Goliath~!  I Think So, And Here’s Why.  David Wrote Psalm 77:3, 5, 11-12; Psalm 78:5-7; Psalm 96:3; 1 Chronicles 16:24; Psalm 105:2, 5, 8-12; 1 Chronicles 16:9, 12, 15-16.  In Fact, David Wrote A Rather Long Psalm 78:1-72 & Psalm 105:1-45 As A Sort Of Prayer Journal That Would Remind Him Of What Great And Awesome Things Yahweh Had Done In The Past~!  And David’s Close Friend Jonathan Said The Same Thing, Indicating That They May Have Talked About This Before, 1 Samuel 14:6-16.

Psalm 78:4-8
 ⁴ We Will Not Hide Them From Their Children, Telling To The Generation To Come The Praises Of Yahweh, His Strength, And His Wondrous Works That He Has Done.
 ⁵ For He Established A Testimony (An Express Precept) In Jacob And Appointed A Law In Israel, Commanding Our Fathers That They Should Make [The Great Facts Of Yahweh’s Dealings With Israel] Known To Their Children,
 ⁶ That The Generation To Come Might Know Them, That The Children Still To Be Born Might Arise And Recount Them To Their Children,
 ⁷ That They Might Set Their Hope In God And Not Forget The Works Of God, But Might Keep His Commandments
 ⁸ And Might Not Be As Their Fathers—A Stubborn And Rebellious Generation, A Generation That Set Not Their Hearts Aright Nor Prepared Their Hearts To Know God, And Whose Spirits Were Not Steadfast And Faithful To God.

Deuteronomy 6:7 ~ You Shall Whet And Sharpen Them So As To Make Them Penetrate, And Teach And Impress Them Diligently Upon The [Minds And] Hearts Of Your Children, And Shall Talk Of Them When You Sit In Your House And When You Walk By The Way, And When You Lie Down And When You Rise Up.

Exodus 13:8 ~ You Shall Explain To Your Son On That Day, This Is Done Because Of What Yahweh Did For Me When I Came Out Of Egypt

David Rehearsed To Others What Yahweh Had Done Often, (Psalm 75:1), Amplified Bible Classic Edition).  Before We Pray To Get Someone Healed, Maybe We Should Offer A Chance For People To Testify About How They Saw Someone Healed, So That We Too Could Rehearse Yahweh’s Wonders And Allow That To Stir Our Hearts Into Faith To Believe, (Revelation 12:11).

Joshua 4:1-9 ~ NKJV

It Can Be On A Computer Where You Type Something For Your Eyes Only Or Maybe Even A Blog. But Something That You Can Retrieve, So That If You Come To A Low Point In Your Life, You Can Go Back And Read Where You Saw Yahweh In Action In Your Life. At The Teen Camp, I Was Doing The Games, And So I Assigned Each Teen Group To Take Various Photos, (Everybody Jumping Up In The Air All At One Time, The Entire Small Group Standing On One Log, Or Building A Human Pyramid, etc.)  Aka… Digital Scavenger Hunt.  I Gave Each Team My Old Cell Phones, (That I Still Used In Hotels Via WiFi).  Well, One Girl Dropped And Broke One Of The Cell Phones And Another Teen Age Girl Came Running Up Saying, “Don’t Be Mad.  Please Don’t Be Mad”.  I Said, “What’s Going On?”, And They Proceeded To Tell Me That Another Girl In Their Group Had Dropped One Of My Cell Phones And Broke The Glass… At First, I Was Miffed.  How Can You Drop A Cell Phone?  But, I Remembered What My Sister Had Said About Anything That Can Be Fixed With Money Is Not Really A Problem And I Told Them That.  I Said, Now, If One Of Y’all Had Run Out Into The Road And Gotten Struck By A Vehicle, That Would Be A Problem.  They Said, “Are You Sure?”, And I Pretended To Be Sure.  But On The Inside I Heard The Holy Ghost Say, “You Really Have To Forgive Because They Will Know If You Don’t”.  So, I Thought About How I Mess Up And The Heavenly Father Always Forgives Me, I Quickly Forgave Her. The Friend That Didn’t Want Me To Be Mad Came Up To Me Privately Later, And Said That Her Father Would Have Been So Angry And She Couldn’t Believe I Was So Willing To Let It Go.

Oh, One More Thing. After I Forgave Her, One Of The Girls Said, “What Happened To Your Short Pants”, And I Looked Down And The Lid Come Off The Anointing Oil That I Carry In My Pocket Had And I Had A Big Oil Stain On The Pocket, plus The Aroma Of Frankincense And Myrrh Permeated The Air And The Girls Said, “That’s A Nice Fragrance”… However, I Will Always Believe That The Heavenly Father Was Saying That He Was Pleased That I Walked In Love And I Represented The Father’s Love Towards Them.  This Friend Got Saved At That Teen Camp 1 1/2 Days Later~!

There Was Another Girl At That Teen Camp.  She Was So Sweet And Tender, And Like A Daughter. A Friend Brought A Dog To Camp And That Was The Coolest God-Ordained Dog. Another Friend Had Ran Over The Dog About Two Months Prior With His Large John Deere Tractor At Our Church Camp While The Men Were Preparing For Summer Camp And One Man Had To Leave As He Couldn’t Take Seeing That Dog Hurt So And Hollering Out In Pain. I Left Building The Cabins Up On The Hill To Go See About The Dog, (Which Was Like His Child To My Friend. He Was Distraught And Had Previously Fallen Once 60 Feet And Another Time 40 While Working On Water Towers And Had Pins In His Ankles That Stuck Out. I Prayed That God Would So Heal Him That The Pins Would Disappear. He Came To Me Several Weeks Later And Said, “Look At My Ankles”… I Couldn’t See Anything Wrong, And He Said, “No Pins, The Pins Are Gone”. I Said, Did A Doctor Take Them Out And He Said, “Doctor Jesus, You Prayed That The Pins Would Be Gone And Now They Are”).

So, I Prayed Over The Dog And They Took Him To The Vet. They Said Because The Dog Was Young, His Bones Flexed And The Dog Just Had A Hair-Line Fracture In His Hips… I Think God Miraculously Healed That Dog. I Think The Dog Was At Death’s Doorsteps… Anyhow, I Told The Pastor That The Lord Had Told Me We Needed A Dog For The Teen Camp, And My Friend Showed Up With This Same Dog. The Dog Was A Female And Shy, But Would Run With Me And Grab A Plastic Water Bottle Right Out Of My Hand, While I Thought I Was Hiding It From Her. I Did This Over And Over Again To Every Group, (We Would Have 125-145 Teens Divided Into Groups Of Four, (One Group Was In Bible Study, And One Group Was Swimming, And One Group Was In Drama And Then I Would Have One Group In Games)… Then We’d Rotate. However, All The Children Would Come Up To This Dog, And Some Of These Children, (Teenagers) Were Struggling With Real Life Issues, (Like Their Father In Prison For Selling Meth), Or Being Abused.

I Told All The Children That If They Had A Problem That They Didn’t Feel Like That They Could Talk About With Any Adult To Go Talk To The Dog, (A Chocolate Brown Labrador Retriever). They Saw That Even Though The Dog Seemed Shy, It Would Chase Me And Grab That Water Bottle, (It Was Like A Show Dog Doing Tricks)… Honest. So, Several Of The Girls Could Be Seen Talking To And Petting The Dog And Putting A Red Bandana Around It’s Neck Which Stayed On The Whole Time. But, Every Now And Then We Notice Someone Talking Quietly To The Dog Alone And I Told The Other Counselors What I Had Said, And They Were Able To Talk Privately To These Folks And Confided In Me, Some Had Some Real Problems.

Well, This Precious Daughter Never Had Any Problems That I Knew Of, But She Was Always There With The Dog And So Sometimes They Would Talk To Her And She Was The Go-Between To The Counselors And The Campers. She Has A Compassion Heart. This Go-Between Young Woman Today Has Two Children. She Is Like One Of My Many Sons And Daughters.
